《猫》海报上那双炯炯有神的黄色猫眼，自1981年首演以来，已在音乐剧领域闪烁了数十年，不仅横扫7项托尼奖大奖，更是将奥利弗、格莱美奖等全球重磅奖项收入囊中，被授予“世纪音乐剧”称号，也被誉为是有史以来最成功的音乐剧之一。



当中每一只猫都有其不同的独特性格及名字，这些聪明过人的猫咪们，聚集在一起举行一年一度的庆典，它们之中最具智慧的长老猫，将选出一位最有资格获得新生命的猫。因此为了被老杜特洛诺米选中而获得重生，每一只猫都用舞蹈和音乐展现自己的生活。

最终，过去非常美丽但早已年老色衰且在此次聚会被众猫嫌弃的格里泽贝拉以一首讲述其生活的《Memory》获得了众猫的认可，从而被老杜特洛诺米选中，获得了重生的机会。
